If you had to guess, it might be a super nova in a galaxy far away, but in fact it's a very tiny jellyfish, about half the size of a pea. I caught this one attached to the aquarium glass, searching for food that floats by. These Jellyfish spend most of their time upside-down, waiting for food to float by, but every once-in-a-while, they swim to another part of the tank.
I used a flash from the side that sort of back-lit the jellyfish, he's actually a blue-ish color, but that didn't show up in this photo.

This is awesome! Looks like the flower carpets we make for Onam, the festival of Kerala. If he's so small, wont he get eaten up by bigger fish?

@Nishana Minhaz: You would think so, but for some reason the fish leave them alone. I might be because they sting or because they recognize them as inedible, but regardless they are fun to watch.
